Who we are

Voltsen is a trading brand of Optitec (Unit 5/18-20 Edward St, Oakleigh, VIC 3166, Australia). This policy explains how we handle personal information you provide to us through voltsen.com.au.

What we collect

• Contact details — name, email, phone, postal address — when you place an order, request a quote, or sign up to our list.
• Order details — products purchased, billing address, shipping address. Payment card details are handled by Stripe, Afterpay, Zip and PayPal and never stored on our servers.
• Website analytics — pages viewed, device type, approximate location (from IP), referrer. Collected via Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel.
• Cookies — small files stored in your browser to make the site work and measure usage. See "Cookies" below.

Why we collect it

• To fulfil orders and provide warranty / after-sales support.
• To send you order updates and the occasional email about new products (only if you have opted in).
• To improve the website and measure how marketing performs.
• To meet legal obligations under Australian Consumer Law and the Tax Acts.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share limited information with:

• Logistics partners (Australia Post, StarTrack, Aramex) to deliver your order.
• Payment processors (Stripe, Afterpay, Zip, PayPal) to take payment.
• Email and analytics platforms (Klaviyo, Google Analytics, Meta) to communicate and measure.
• Government agencies if we are required to do so by law.

How long we keep it

Order and warranty records are kept for seven years (ATO requirement). Marketing subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default.

Cookies

The site uses cookies for essential functions (cart, checkout) and analytics. You can decline analytics cookies via the consent banner. Browser settings can also block cookies, though some site features may stop working.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy.
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
• Ask us to delete your data (subject to our legal record-keeping obligations).
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in every email.
